Addie Dell Okun,
88, of Lumberton, died
Wednesday, September 9,
2020, at Harbor Hospice,
Beaumont. She was born
on March 12, 1932, to Mamie
Marie Nash Martin and
Clifton S. Martin, in Apple
Springs.
Addie was a devoted wife to
her beloved late husband,
Paul E. Okun. She was a
dedicated R.S.V.P. volunteer
for many years. While
raising her sons, she gave
her time to be a Cub Scout
Den Mother. Addie was also
an Election Judge for the Hardin County Election Committee. She
was an avid outdoorsman who hunted and fished and enjoyed
western movies and books including Walker Texas Ranger. Addie
was a devoted mother and grandmother and was well loved by her
neighborhood.
Survivors include her sons, Rickie Paul Okun and his wife,
Brenda, of Bon Weir; Guy Martin Okun and his wife, Debbie;
James Dale Okun and his wife, Sissy; and Mark Stephen Okun,
all of Lumberton; daughter, Paula Dell Okun Poe of Lumberton;
brother, Penny Martin of Vidor; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-
six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Martin;
sister, Zethria Frederick; and grandchild, Addie Craven.
