Overview
Introduction
The K Dial Tap Timer is made to be used in residential applications
with normal household water pressures. Program your desired
watering requirements before installing to your tap. Once set,
your K Dial will repeat your programmed watering each week.
® This instruction manual contains useful information on the proper
use and care of this product. Please read through all instructions
before attempting to program and use the K Dial Tap Timer.

Additional Functions
Á The display will return to the clock after
2minutes of keypad or schedule inactivity
Á Removing the AAA batteries will reset
all clock and schedule settings
® Using Zone 1+2 allows you to program an extra 4 start times
for your K Dial to run. Once the watering duration has elapsed
on Zone 1, it will automatically begin watering for Zone 2

Setup Setup
Battery Installation
1. Install 2× 1.5v AAA
alkaline batteries into
your K Dial Tap Timer,
as indicated in the battery
compartment [a]
® After installing the
batteries, the display should
activate as follows if the
main dial is set to OFF
2. The status of the battery
power is shown by
the battery icon
Á Do not let the battery
drop below 2 bars
® It is recommended to renew
the batteries each spring,
or at least once per year
Clock
1. To set the system time, turn
the main dial to CLOCK
® The minutes will flash
on the display [a]
2. Press + or − to adjust the
minutes to the current time
3. Press START to
save minutes
® The hours will now flash [b]
4. Press + or − to adjust the
hours to the current time
® Cycle through 12 hour
periods to change AM/PM
5. Press START to save hours
® MON will flash[c] to indicate
days can be adjusted
6. Press + or − to cycle
through and select
the current day
7. Press START to
confirm the current day
® The minutes will begin
flashing, this is normal and
the time has been saved

turned to OFF

Start Time
START TIME is the time a
select zone will start watering
® Your K-Dial can use up to
4× different STARTTIMES
per day per ZONE
1. Turn the main dial
to START TIME
2. Press ZONE to cycle
through and select ZONE1,
ZONE 2 or ZONE 1+2–the
selected zone will be
flashing on the display [a]
3. Press START to begin
setting the STARTTIME
for START 1–the hours
will begin flashing [b]
4. Press + or − to adjust
the hours as desired
5. Press START to
save–the minutes will
begin flashing [c]
6. Press + or − to adjust
the minutes as desired
7. Press START to save
the START TIME
8. The current settings for the
next NEXT START [d] will
display as OFF [e] by default
9. Press START to begin
setting the STARTTIME
for–OFF (or the hours)
will begin flashing [f]
10. Repeat steps 4-9 (page8)
to set START TIMES for
START 2, START 3 and/or
START 4 as desired
® To disable a STARTTIME
again, hold down + and −
simultaneously. Selected
start time will appear as OFF
11. [Optional] To set
STARTTIMES for additional
zones, press ZONE after
saving the START TIMES–
the ZONE will flash [g] and
revert back to START1 [h]
12. [Optional] To run an
additional 4 start times
for ZONE1 and ZONE 2
(if watering both zones on
the same day), set START
TIMES for ZONE1+2 using
steps 4-9. ZONE 1+2 will
water sequentially using
the set START TIMES

WATER DAYS are the days
in which your K Dial will
water at designated START
TIMES for each ZONE
Á Check local regulations
to determine watering
days in your area
1. Turn the main dial to
WATER DAYS
2. Press ZONE to cycle
through and select ZONE1
or ZONE 2–the selected
zone will be flashing
on the display [a]
® By default, every day is
toggled on as indicated by
3. Press START to
select each day–MON
will flash first [b]
4. Press + or − to toggle
watering on or off respectively
® When a day is toggled off
the will disappear
5. Press START to save
the status and proceed
to the next day
6. Repeat steps 4-5 until each
day of the week has been set
7. When saving the status
for SUN, the display will
automatically proceed to
MON for the next zone
® WATER DAYS will be
automatically applied
if START TIMES are
set for ZONE1+2.
Run Time
RUN TIME is the duration for
which each zone will water
® The RUN TIME will be
the same for all START
TIMES. A different RUN
TIME can be assigned to
ZONE 1 and ZONE 2.
1. Turn the main dial
to RUN TIME
® RUN TIME settings
start at ZONE 1
® RUN TIME is set to
30minutes by default
2. The duration minutes will
be flashing [a]–press
+ or − to adjust the
minutes as desired
3. Press START to save–the
hours will begin flashing [b]
4. Press + or − to adjust
the hours to as desired
5. Press ZONE to save
the RUN TIME and
proceed to the next zone
6. Repeat steps 2-5 to
set a RUN TIME for the
next zone as desired
® To disable a RUNTIME,
hold down + and −
simultaneously. Selected
run time will appear as OFF
® The set RUN TIMES for
ZONE 1 and ZONE2
automatically applies to
watering for ZONE1+2

Operation
Automatic Watering
For automatic watering, ensure
the CLOCK, STARTTIME,
WATERDAYS and
RUNTIME have been set
1. Turn the main dial to ON
® The display will now show
the current day, time and
battery status. Watering
will occur automatically
on the selected WATER
DAYS, at the designated
START TIMES for the
designated RUN TIMES
® When a STARTTIME is
triggered, watering will
begin, the display will show
the remaining watering
time[a], current zone being
watered [b] and watering
status with a watering
sprinkler animation [c]
® If START TIME is set for
ZONE 1+2, ZONE 2 will
water sequentially after
ZONE 1 is finished
® To suspend all automatic
watering without losing
settings, turn the
main dial to OFF
® With the main dial switched
to OFF, the display will
show an off indicator [d]
Á All watering schedules
will run as planned if
the main dial is not
switched to OFF
Manual Watering
Manual operation is for
watering a zone immediately,
this watering time is different
to the pre-set schedules
1. For manual watering, turn
the main dial to ON
2. Press ZONE to choose
to water ZONE 1, ZONE2
or ZONE 1+2 [a]
® To manually water both
zones sequentially, select
ZONE 1+2. ZONE2 will
water after the set duration
has finished on ZONE 1
® The manual indicator [b] will
display and the sprinkler
icon [c] will be static. The
default manual watering
duration is 10 minutes [d]
3. Press + or − to adjust
the minutes to as desired
® Manual watering can only
be set in minutes from 1
minute to a maximum of
99 minutes. Hold down
+ when setting long
watering times to scroll
through the minutes
4. To start watering session,
press START
® During watering, the time
separator will flash [e], the
sprinkler animation will start
watering [f], and the duration
will begin counting down [g]
® To stop watering
immediately, turn the main
dial to OFF. To ensure your
pre-set schedules are active,
turn the main dial back to ON

2 Year Replacement Guarantee
Holman Industries offers a 2 year
replacement guarantee with this product.
In Australia our goods come with
guarantees that cannot be excluded
under the Australian Consumer Law. You
are entitled to a replacement or refund
for a major failure and compensation for
any other reasonably foreseeable loss or
damage. You are also entitled to have the
goods repaired or replaced if the goods
fail to be of acceptable quality and the
failure does not amount to a major failure.
As well as your statutory rights referred
to above and any other rights and
remedies you have under any other laws
relating to your Holman product, we also
provide you with a Holman guarantee.
Holman Industries guarantees this
product against defects caused by faulty
workmanship and materials for 2 years
domestic use from the date of purchase.
During this guarantee period Holman
Industries will replace any defective
product. Packaging and instructions
may not be replaced unless faulty.
In the event of a product being replaced
during the guarantee period, the
guarantee on the replacement product
will expire 2 years from the purchase
date of the original product, not 2years
from the date of replacement.
To the extent permitted by law, this Holman
Replacement Guarantee excludes liability
for consequential loss or any other loss
or damage caused to property of persons
arising from any cause whatsoever. It
also excludes defects caused by the
product not being used in accordance with
instructions, accidental damage, misuse,
or being tampered with by unauthorised
persons, excludes normal wear and tear
and does not cover the cost of claiming
under the warranty or transporting the
goods to and from the place of purchase.
