KMT Track Days Event Rules and Regulations
Motorcycle
Eligibility Requirements - Rider must be in possession of a full current road riding license
or current competition license. Riders under the legal age must have a valid competition license.
Rider Gear - Race Suits, Boots, and Helmets are required. Off-road style motorcycle helmets
are not allowed.
o Damage-free BSI, ECE-2205, DOT, or SNELL full-face helmet with face shield.
o Riding boots that fully cover the ankle.
o Gauntlet-style gloves with full wrist coverage.
o One-piece riding leathers. With padded shoulders, elbows, hips, and knee areas. No
chaps.
o Advanced and Intermediate group riders are required to wear back protectors. Softback
pads sewn into suits are not enough.
o We also ask that you consider the use of a chest protector.
o If you are a beginner rider, you must provide your own hi-visibility vest, orange or yellow
in color, that does not clash with your riding overalls.
Motorcycle Safety Minimums - All bikes must pass a technical inspection before
admittance to the track. If your bike does not pass the tech inspection, you will not receive a
refund. It is your responsibility to have your bike prepared before riding on the racetrack.

o Tires should not be more than two years old. Any tires that are bluing from excessive
wear will be disallowed.
o Headlights, turn signals, and Brake lights must be taped over or removed. Side mirrors
must be removed for the Advanced group and at least taped over for all other groups.
o We recommend, but do not require, the removal of center stands. No bikes with center
stands will be allowed in the Advanced Group due to the ground clearance issue.
o All machines must have an operational handlebar mounted kill switch/button and self-
closing throttle in good working condition.
o Advanced and Intermediate group riders must use water, water wetter, or a non-ethyl
glycol-based antifreeze/coolant. Approved Poly Glycol brands are Evans, 7th Gear, Liquid
Performance, and Engine Ice. Automotive ethyl glycol-based coolants are not allowed.
o All valve stems must have caps.
