ARRIVAL PROCEDURE AND CHECK-IN
After turning into the school’s front parking lot off of Apache Road, volunteers will board buses
and provide wrist bands for admittance into the stadium. The buses will circle around the
parking lot to check-in and student unloading. Equipment trucks/trailers will temporarily park in
the same parking lot for unloading as well. Directors will pick up festival packets that will
include wristbands for staff, flow map, video pass, and schedule.
BUS AND EQUIPMENT TRUCK/TRAILER PARKING
After student drop-off and unloading, buses and equipment trucks will temporarily relocate to the
west parking lot off of Lower Buckeye Road near the football stadium entrance and spectator
parking. Once students change out of uniforms following their performance and equipment
trucks are loaded, the buses and equipment vehicles will relocate at John McCain Elementary
School for the remainder of the festival. (Small white fleet buses travel back and forth to the
elementary school to provide driver and staff transportation.) After the award ceremony,
Division A schools will meet there busses and trucks in the West parking lot near the stadium.
Division AA & AAA will meet their busses and trucks in the East parking lot were you
originally checked in for the event.
FLOW INFORMATION
WARM-UP
After student unloading, volunteers will usher bands to their designated Warm-Up areas just
north of the drop-off area. An additional silent warm-up area will also be available on our regular
baseball field. Color Guard units can use this area as well. Water stations will be available in all
three warm-up areas. While bands are in warming up areas, field props can be staged along the
staging/ready line.
TRANSIT
During transit time, a volunteer will escort your band (and props) from your warm-up area west
on the school’s back way to the stadium to get you set for your “Ready Line Time.”
STADIUM INGRESS/EGRESS
Band members, pit equipment, and field props will all enter the stadium from the same gate on
the visitor’s southeast side. Once through the gate, the pit equipment (and possibly field props)
will circle around the north end of the track. Following the performance, the band members, pit
equipment, and field props will exit the stadium from a gate on the northwest side of the
bleachers and proceed to the parking lot. Buses and equipment trucks will be located directly
outside this gate for convenient loading and dress down of the band.
RE-ENTRY AND BAND SEATING
Band members will re-enter the stadium on south side at the Admissions Booth just north of the
buses and equipment vehicles. Bands performing after the 6:30 break, are requested to sit on the
visitor’s side to make seats available on the spectator’s side.
