COMPLIANCE WITH POSITIVE IMPACT PLAN
Progress or Success Goal 1
Description of Progress or Success: We have been in business now for about 6 months and have started to make progress on our annual goals
in our Positive Impact Plan. Our plan has been impacted by the pandemic, but we have made adjustments that we believe have allowed us to
continue to work towards our goals while dealing with the circumstantial changes that we did not anticipate when we created the goals. For
instance, the rst adjustment we have made is in regards to our goal of providing 100 employee hours to the Friends & Family Outreach of
Amherst's Not Bread Alone soup kitchen organization - as concerns were expressed from both parties regarding having our employees attend
the soup kitchens to assist with the program. Due to this, we provided a nancial contribution to the soup kitchen that equaled the cost we
would incur from our commitment of 100 hours of our employee's time to the kitchen. FOA appreciated this compromise and have informed us
the funds have been very helpful. We have an additional commitment to FOA to provide an additional $5000 annual contribution & a fundraiser
like a winter coat drive or back to school clothes/supply drive which we have no completed yet, but will do so within the next 5-6 months. We are
also included on FOA's email list for assisting family's in need with any supplies they made need. For example, we received an email last month
that a single mother was in need of a child's car seat - we responded within 5-10 minutes of receiving the email, but unfortunately another party
beat us to the punch - we continue to be on this email list.
Our second goal was to reach out to the City of Holyoke when hiring by holding job workshops. This is another example of how the
circumstances the pandemic has presented has created hurdles for us in achieving the goals laid out in our plan. Regardless, we did hold a job
workshop at the Holyoke Public Library in February before the pandemic began and made one hire from the event. Since the event the pandemic
has become an issue with regards to holding public events in Holyoke as it has had a high positivity rate throughout the pandemic. We will
continue to commit to this goal and resume the job fairs once public restrictions are removed and allow for in person gatherings. In the time
being we will continue to consider alternative options for these public gatherings.
Our nal goal was intended to allow us to maintain a positive relationship with the residents of the city we operate in by holding community
workshops where we would inform the attendees of changes to our establishment's operating policies/procedures that the customers may be
interested in as well as to update them on state regulations regarding the cannabis industry to serve as public awareness supporters. The 6
month of operations mark was when we intended to hold this meeting, but with the pandemic being at its perceived peak at this current time, we
will wait to hold this meeting until this have settled down with regards to the positivity rate of the virus in the area. We intend to hold the meeting
within the next 6 months, otherwise we will try and nd an alternative solution to reach our goal.
COMPLIANCE WITH DIVERSITY PLAN
Diversity Progress or Success 1
Description of Progress or Success: Our rst goal was to educate hiring staff by covering the cost for them to attend a course offered by the
University of Purdue. This course is titled "Understanding Diversity & Inclusion" and goes over several topics relating to how to promote diverse
and inclusive spaces. As of the time of this submission we have 3 members of our organization who have completed the course and have
