Global Health Media Project n.d.
Global Health Media Project **This

Videos designed to train health
workers.
http://globalhealthmedia.org/videos/
11/4/15 online (videos)
English, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Spanis,
French, Nepali, Lao, Khmer
The visuals provided through video resources can greatly aid
understanding to interpreters of LLDs. The narration of most videos
is slow enough that mak es them easily adaptable as interpreter
training resources. The availability of an English version of the video
would allow instructors an opportunity to provide some level of
feedback even when the instructor is unfamiliar with the LLD.
The main goal of these videos is to train
health workers in remote areas. The
Founder of this initiative is a physician who
worked with Doctors Without Borders and
identified a need to impart basic knowledge
on how to assist births happening outside
the hospital. Most videos have to do with
birthing, pre and post-natal care,
breastfeeding (also expressing milk by
hand), and there is one on ebola as well as
one on cholera.
