What is the difference between a journal and a journal article?

Journal

A journal refers to the print copy we hold in the library in the compactus units upstairs.

You will need to write down the call number, plus the volume, issue and page numbers

and find the journal on the shelves.

Journal article

A Journal article is from a database. Clicking on the icon should take you to the full-text

article.

eJournal

An eJournal may take you to the whole journal online. Or it could be a book that is issued

in yearly volumes. Or it could be an Australian Bureau of Statistics entry. Actually it can

refer to lots of different items!

Newspaper article

A newspaper article can be an article, editorial, report etc. from a newspaper.
